Yesterday I decided I am going to purge my closet. I'm kinda scared because I tend to hold onto things for quite a long time. For example, this vest. My mom bought me this Banana Republic vest as I prepared for my first job out of college. At the time, we thought the vest was a great alternative to an everyday business jacket. Too bad I tore the tags off of it just a couple of days ago. I have come to terms with the fact that my closet space has become extremely limited and I need to make a change. I am going to be careful about what I decide to move out of my closet, for reasons like this vest. But with that said, I know it will be nice to refresh and cleanse what I've got going on. I've decided that I'm going to take some things to a local consignment shop. For all you Atlanta girls, after lots of research I've decided on Labels Resale. I'm hoping to make a little money {saving for a Celine -- just being honest} and help my items find new love. I'm excited to see how everything turns out. Wish me luck!

I will take ANY of your closet rejects :) haha closet cleansing is always so necessary! Sometimes it is ok to hold on to things but sometimes you just have to purge! I love this vest and those shoes are amazing!

I'm seriously this way with my closet too! Good luck with the purge.. hopefully you won't be too emotional when letting go of some items, I know I totally get that way! Also I can't wait until the Celine makes an appearance! Love the way those jeans fit you!

ReplyDeleteA closet purge is so tough, but I always feel better after I've done it (and then I go shopping!). Labels is pretty good. I've sold (and bought) with them a few times and the process is very easy. Sometimes I have to follow up to because they forget to call me once my stuff has sold, which can be annoying.... I can't wait to see how you would style the Celine!

ReplyDeleteRegarding the closet purge, it is so liberating and I'm sort of addicted to doing it. Truthfully, there haven't been many times I've regretted getting rid of something. Good luck with the closet over haul;)
