If you live in Atlanta and are not taking advantage of the amazing savings offered through Partners Card, you are seriously missing out. With the help and support of the greater Atlanta community, the nonprofit subsidizes 80% of camper's expenses (around $800 per camper) to help bring the joys of camp to children who need it most. Shoppers purchase the card for $60 which directly supports Camp Twin Lakes. Through the collaboration, thousands of kids with serious illnesses, disabilities and life challenges who may otherwise may be unable to attend camp. Camp Twin Lakes serves children with asthma, cancer, HIV, muscular dystrophy, diabetes, brain injuries, transplant recipients, and kids who have lost a loved one. Partners Card works with local gems and national chains that provide the very best in shopping, dining, entertainment, and services. This year the card is valid October 31 thru November 9th. So be sure to get yourself a card sooner rather than later. Follow my weekend itinerary to see my favorite Partners Card participants as I catch a valuable discount for an even more rewarding cause.
Friday Afternoon :: In an attempt to stay close to home until PEN gets home from work, I can't wait to stop by some nearby retailers to take my shopping skills out for a spin ;) As I prepare for Baby N's arrival, Partners Card is the perfect time for me to pick up a couple of baby items I've had my eye on. Places like Baby Braithwaite, Grethchen's Children Shop, and The Children's Shop will be the first places I visit. And, if I have time I'll pay Onward Reserve and Patagonia a quick run through to scoop up a couple things for PEN. His birthday is in a few short weeks --ah!
Friday Night :: Looking forward to catching a double date with some of our besties at Atlanta's South City Kitchen. Without thinking twice, I can't wait to grub on fried green tomatoes, shrimp and grits and lobster mac & cheese. Without fail, I will be sure to try a little of everything on the table for a true meal full of southern classics. There is no way we would leave the meal without ordering my favorite, banana pudding. The restaurant is a historic bungalow nestled among the city's modern skyscrapers.
Saturday :: Since I have a blog conference on Saturday the only thing I'll be able to sneak into the day is a nice evening at The Spence. I've never been before, but I'm looking forward to trying a new spot. The menu looks delish!
Sunday :: Be prepared for a packed day! One area of town I love shopping at is Howell Mill Provisions. Lucky for me, so many great retailers are participating! I plan on starting at one of my favorite retailers, Steven Alan. They carry some of my favorite brands like: Karen Walker, Maya Brenner, and Acne. Afterwards I wouldn't miss a chance to stop into Calypso St. Barth. Honestly, their fall sweater basics are some of my favorite. Then obvious places like J. Crew and Jonathan Adler are a must. After my morning round up, I plan on meeting my mom and sister for a late lunch at Zinburger at Lenox Square before conquering the afternoon with them at the mall. After devouring my burger {I never craved burgers before being pregnant ... now it's a go to} I hope to stock up on my favorites from Kiehl's. I can't go a day without their Ultra Facial Cleanser. And then, swinging into Pottery Barn Kids to help my mom finish up the nursery that she is working on at her house. After lots of baby shopping, I'm sure my sister will want to stop by Madewell... one of her personal favs! If we have time {which I hope make sure we do} we may jump across the street to stop into my obvious fav, Vince. If you know me and my style at all, you know I could spend the whole day here. But, since I am shopping for a cause, I will do a little on-line pre-shopping and make my visit efficient.... for the kids obviously. After Vince, a little trip into Intermix never hurt anybody. I mean I wouldn't mind owning another Vita Fede bracelet... just sayin. And if time allows, I'll quickly run thru Rebecca Taylor to make sure I made the most of my Partners Card! I honestly don't think I could cram another thing into the day. I'd be lying if I said I'd venture out anymore after the malls. But instead, I think PEN and I will be ordering take out and getting ready for another crazy week ahead!
