Happy Monday Fashion Friends! I'm so excited to get on board and participate in A Tour Through Blogland. My blogger bestie Maggie at Polished Closets introduced me {see here} and and nominated me for the tour. Maggie quickly became one of my best buds. We can't wait to spend the weekend together as we attend a blog conference here in Atlanta. Getting to know and become good friends with other fashion bloggers has one of my favorite parts of creating The Mich Mix. I truly believe that supporting each other and the community is one of the most important aspects of being in the industry. The beauty of blogging is that we are all in it together. Here is a little bit more info about what happens #bts with The Mich Mix:
What have you been working on?
I am working on some amazing partnerships right now. From give-a-ways on my blog to styling events at some local boutiques. I'm looking forward to sharing so much in the next couple of weeks and giving back and getting to know my readers in person! And, like I mentioned above, I am really excited about attending a blog conference this weekend to strengthen The Mich Mix!
How does my work differ from others in it's genre?
Honestly, I'm not totally sure. I do recognize that my style is a bit different than most {not all} bloggers in the south. I'd be lying if I told you that I have a 'southern look' to my style. It is rare that I pick up a print or a bold color. My comfort zone leaves me sticking to classic pieces with a twist. Most days you will find me in black, white, and/or grey!
Why do I write/create what I do?
Because I love it! Honestly, that is it! Since starting my blog in April 2014, I can't even begin to tell you how much I have enjoyed getting back into the fashion industry! It is where I feel most comfortable and where I thrive! I love being inspired and inspiring others!
How does my writing/creative process work?
The Mich Mix works just like real life works. I get up, I get dressed and, as of April, I blog about it! I am unbelievable fortunate to work with an amazing photographer, Kathryn McCrary, who clicks away to make my blog come to life!
Now that you know a bit more about me, I would love to introduce you to a couple of my bloggers buds who are going to participate on this blogland tour! Make sure that you stop by their blogs next Monday to catch their full post! I promise their blogs will not disappoint!
I'm Audrey, the blogger behind Lulu Linden! I created lululinden.com as a way to share some of my favorite things -- style, food, beauty -- with a touch of sass and a dose of humor. As a 20-something year-old college gal, I'm still figuring out exactly what I want out of life, and blogging has opened my eyes to all of the exciting options out there. From meeting my fellow amazing blog babes to discovering the craftiest of DIY's, there is so much goodness out there that helps us add a little sparkle to our lives, and I am happy to be a part of it all.
I'm J, the creator of Bless Her Heart Y'all. After running my own veterinary business, I was hearing for a creative outlet for myself that was anything but what I did everyday for work. .On a whim one March morning at 3am, I started Bless Her Heart Y'all to try to showcase some 'Southern Charm on a Budget'. I love to incorporate something thrifted, something from a well-known budget friendly store, and something more expensive, into each southern-inspired outfit post. I want to show others that you can pull off any look you want, no matter if your budget allows for a trip to Goodwill or a spree at Macys.

I LOVE your blog! Jealous you and Maggie are going to a conference. You ladies are my favs!

what a cool idea! Like you, I love blogging and becoming friends with so many wonderful, creative women. Lately, I've been struggling to fit in and coordinate outfit pics and it is affecting Classy Ever After but I'm still so grateful for the connections.
ReplyDeleteThe moment I first stumbled upon The Mich Mix it has been one of my daily reads. I love your style, girl! I prefer neutral classics too...and I love the way your style is so timeless yet very unique and interesting. Awesome blog, Michelle. Hope you enjoy the conference and I can't wait to see your new projects.
