My current uniform consists of some sort of trench {considering investing in this one for winter}, an oversized tee, ripped denim and sneaks. I've finally figured out what works for mom life.... oh you know, it only took me almost two years.
If you were too busy with fam this past weekend to get your shop on, today is the very last day of Black Friday weekend! Catch all the deals and promo codes here.
Sometimes I laugh and sometimes I cry about how much I have caved to #momstyle. For me, this look is one of the easiest ways to put myself together if my day is a mix of mom life and.... real life. It is comfortable and effortless but with a touch of my personal style.
Today I'm sharing looks that I wore exactly a year ago. While I am all in favor of fashion forward trendy pieces there is beauty in investing in quality basics. This post proves just that!
Everyday I leave my closet looking exactly as I did the day before. Black on black on black. As prefall collections begin to hit stores, I have promised myself that I will only invest in black pieces this winter. Truth: its what I wear. Based on my everyday look, you'd assume that I had already made this pact with myself. But, in reality that is not the case. For some reason, I get a little ahead of myself in a fitting room and start to convince myself I will step out of my black box. Well, reality is those pieces are still hanging with tags. So, I'm keeping it real from now on. Everyday I know what color I'm reaching for. Here's to investing in pieces I know I will wear season after season. Happy Monday fashion friends!! xx.
Shorts aren't my thing. This might be the only pair denim cut offs I own. I've become slightly dependent on them already summer. I'm pretty annoyed it was in the 90s in Atlanta yesterday. Since I'm grabbing them all the time, I believe that I investing in another option is a good choice. After all, my typical go-to summer silk dresses are just not working in mommy world. It is time that I add a pair of black shorts {obviously} into my life. And don't even worry, I've already found a winner. Can't wait to show y'all how I rock this pair by Acne. And PS: Steven Allen is my new favorite go-to. I can't stop. Help meeeee.
I'm am always on the hunt to add effortless dressing to my closet. Yes, always. This month that means long sleeve dresses. I'm not left staring into my closet every morning trying to put together a look. I mean, who has time for that? This thrown on and go dress has been a weekly favorite. I also picked it up in black. I'm pretty sure I don't need to explain why.
It's that time again for Nordstrom's Half Yearly sale. We all know this is the best time to score some solid deals. Here is what I've got my eye on.... Happy Friday friends!! xx.
Truth: Last night I told PEN I was having the time of my life sitting on the couch playing on my computer {making last minute Shopbop decisions... obviously} while he watched tv. I had not realized how long it has been since we just sat and relaxed on the couch. While I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world, life with a newborn is crazy busy. Even the simplest errands {aka: getting a mani/pedi} are rushed and require planning. This weekend we are going to try to focus on appreciating down time and living for each sweet moment with our little. Happy weekend friends! xx.
Somedays are just go go go. Some days errands require you to put somewhat put together. Say hello to my Harris Wharf London Jacket. Throw it over any look and consider any look effortlessly chic on the go.
The truth is that I kinda miss my bump. Most would think that I am absolutely cray cray but I'm speaking the truth. I look back on these blog pics and can't believe Little H was in there just a few short weeks ago. Tomorrow little man will be three weeks. Time flies.
